Literature Text

We stroll though the woods, while leaves fall down,
We stop to watch them dropping and twirling to the ground,
We sit in a tree, we climbed all the way to the top,
Or so we thought but when we look down it was only a foot drop.
We pick up the swirly seeds letting them fall,
Like miniature helicopters green and curiously small.
I tell you that Autumn is my favourite time of all.

The winter comes and the darkness creeps in,
So I tell you to put on your wellies and we go for a walk,
Squishing and squelching we walk and we talk
Your boot gets stuck as you step where it's muddy,
I laugh and and smile as you try to pull it free,
You look at me seriously, then start laughing with me.
The cold wind blows in and teeth chattering starts,
So you hand me your coat, shivering in the dark.
But you don't care, cause your smiling, on our winter walk.

The cold starts to ease as we walk in the spring,
We listen to music and feeling carefree, I hear you sing,
Walking quicker as the sky starts to rain down on us,
You lead the way to your shelter, a secret to me you trust.
We sit in silence listening to the rain pouring down,
And smile at the green leaves now sprouting all around.
The days are getting lighter, and we sit on dry ground,
Animals rustle in the spring bushes and beautiful bird sounds.

The sun shines brightly and it warms our skin,
As we lay in the soft grass, listen to the crickets sing.
We walk for hours, stop in the woods and sit on a log,
We both read our books, passers by look at us like we're odd.
Sitting at the pit we have a bbq and rose, it's summer Wahhay.
We stay out late by the pond, the summer night sky is beautiful you say.
Then we go on a mystery walk, smiling all the way field,
Your favourite place in summer, the most beautiful place in the world.
